Join Lorraine from Gallivanting.ie, for an afternoon of making some treats that are healthy, natural and utterly delicious. Throughout the year the hedgerows and woodlands of Ireland are full of delicious foods to harvest and use in a range of recipes

As the Wheel of the year turns each week offers new and delicious ingredients to harvest! 

Following on the late summer Plantain workshop we know look to Hawthorn this versatile little tree has a long history with fairies but it has also provided our ancestors with fresh delicious leaves in the Spring and early summer and now as the wheel turns, the red berries are a wonderful source of nutrition going into the winter. 


What’s included:

  • How to identify, harvest and store the hawthorn berry

  • How to make a wonderful healing tea for broken hearts

  • And you will make your own scrumptious Hawthorn Ketchup, a sauce that can be added to soups, stews and is simply divine poured over sausages and mash on a cold winters day

  • Approx 3.5 hours
