Courtown Woodlands Guided Foraging Walk

  • Courtown Woodlands Courtown Gorey, Co. Wexford Ireland (map)

Join local folklorist and foraging guide Lorraine O'Dwyer of Gallivanting.ie for a very special foraging walk in Courtown Woods. Blending her love of food with local folklore, you will be amazed to discover just how many edible plants are available on the forest floor!

Discover the tree leaves, plants and herbs our ancestors foraged for, how they were used and how the ancient Brehon Laws of Celtic Ireland ensured there was enough food for all. You'll learn what to look out for in the coming months ahead and take home a handy foraging Taste Wexford tote bag filled with locally-made delicacies and treats.
