johnstown castle, estate & museum
Johnstown Castle has undergone some extensive restoration work in recent years and that includes the large gardens surrounding the castle. Check out the Agricultural Museum to discover Irelands rich history of food production and then head out to the Gardens to discover the work being done to restore the organic fruit, vegetable and flower gardens, all producing the ingredients used in their on-site cafe
IRISH national heritage park
This is the only place in Wexford you will find Irish Stew on the menu, simple, rustic and served with chunks of homemade bread using Wexford lamb and tasty root vegetables. La Côte is a contemporary seafood restaurant owned and run by Michelin-trained chef Paul Hynes and his wife Edwina.
Offering Irish seafood with a modern European influence, with seafood sourced daily from Kilmore Quay and other ingredients foraged along the coastline
Among their many accolades, La Cote holds the L’Assiette Michelin, or Michelin Plate, indicating a restaurant of noteworthy, quality food.
westgate design
Tucked away on Wexfords busy Main Street is Westgate Design. Essentially a retail unit showcasing the best of local and national Craft & Design Artists but venture downstairs and you’ll find a large light filled cafe with a large selection of dishes to choose from. Light lunches, hearty dinners, or simply a slice of cake and a pot of tea. Ingredients are local, artisan and vegan & vegetarian options are plentiful!

Crown Quarter is located on the vibrant, energetic pedestrianised Monck Street in the heart of Wexford Town, giving you access to Wexford’s nightlife, shopping and restaurants but to be honest they have everything you need at Crown Quarter for a great weekend or midweek break away.

Set in the stunning surroundings of the historical Killiane Castle , the Mernagh family are dedicated beekeepers that produce delicious raw honey that captures the taste of Wexford’s countryside.
Ian and Marie are about to launch their honey tours and workshops this summer along with a suite of honey products.

The Coal Bunker Bar has become a thriving hub of activity for the community and they are proud to have become a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike. Groups of friends reuniting over a few drinks, families out for Sunday dinner, the local Active Retirement group stopping by for lunch, and sports fans popping in to watch the match.

Situated just inside the Wexford Arts Centre, housed in the old Corn Market Building this small but delightfully cosy cafe uses a wide range of local and artisan producers on their menus providing tasty breakfasts and lunches. Just avoid busy periods if you want to sit down, its a very popular spot!
Mylers Fish Market
Meyler's Fish Merchants, specialise in fresh fish, smoked fish and shellfish sourced daily from Kilmore Quay and smoked in-house
Their fish is sold at wholesale prices for all, and people drive for miles and miles to buy from this family-owned business, now staffed by the 3rd generation of Meyler’s and all started by Granny Anastasia Meyler who sold fish to local stallholders!
Zaeire artisan chocolate
Leigh started making chocolates from her kitchen in 2013 and it started out as just a hobby. She soon realised that this was a business opportunity and seized the day. Being stocked in selected outlets nationwide and in their very own shop which was opened in 2021.
Simon Lambert & Sons
Known locally as Simons Place, this quaint pub is the home of Wexford’s own Yellowbelly Beer, but their talents don’t stop there. A BBQ and smokehouse are both on-site and new brews appear on the Blackboard every few days. And while it might first appear that Simons is only a place for meat lovers, their Veggie burgers are considered to be the best in town
