Samhain Walk

  • County Wexford Ireland (map)

Join Lorraine from Gallivanting.ie, to celebrate Samhain, this woodland walk brings the magic of Samhain alive.

As the wheel of the year turns towards winter, this walking workshop takes you on a journey into the past.

Beginning at the Kilbride High Cross, we take some time to unravel the carvings on the Cross. Originally used to convert the native pagan population, we reverse it and explore the four agricultural festivals, their spiritual meanings, the indigenous Goddess Worship and what Samhain meant for the average person living here hundreds and even thousands of years ago.

What’s included:

  • Understand the Celtic Wheel of the Year as carved on the Kilbride High Cross.

  • Discover the Elements of Magic and how you can use them in your daily life.

  • Meet Three Sacred Trees and learn why these trees were revered by our Celtic Ancestors.

  • A choice of WILDAbout Fennel or Nettle Drink this award-winning brand run by Malcolm and Fiona Falconer.

  • Approx 2 hours
